Whether you're coming to Medellín for a month of remote work, a semester, a corporate assignment or the first step of a move, a furnished apartment rented by the month is the simplest way to land. You arrive with a suitcase, sign with your passport and start living — no co-signer, no rental study and no furniture to buy. This page brings together everything you need to choose one in 2026.

What a furnished rental includes
- Furniture, bedding, towels and a fully equipped kitchen.
- WiFi — ask for the speed in writing if you work online.
- Utilities (water, electricity, gas) and the building fee, normally included in the price.
- Access to the building's amenities: pool, gym, coworking or BBQ area depending on the building.
Always confirm in writing what's included, whether there are caps on consumption and how cleaning works.
Who it's for
- Digital nomads and remote workers staying one to six months — see our digital nomad guide.
- People relocating who want to know the city before signing a 12-month lease or buying.
- Companies housing executives or relocated staff for weeks or months.
- Families visiting for a season, or in Medellín while their own home is being renovated.
- Medical and academic stays with a fixed start and end date.
How long can you stay?
From 30 days. Stays shorter than that are tourist rentals, with different rules. Longer contracts — three to six months or more — get noticeably better monthly rates. Read 1, 3 or 6 months: how monthly rentals work, and compare with nightly rates in Airbnb vs monthly rental.
Choosing the neighbourhood
The neighbourhood shapes your stay more than the apartment does. If it's your first time, the area around Provenza and Manila makes everything easy on foot. If you want local life on flat streets, Laureles. If you want calm and green, Envigado. Our guide to the best neighbourhoods for foreigners and the comparison El Poblado vs Laureles will help you decide.
